At the December South Precinct meeting I indicated that I would provide links to a number of Planning issues websites. Some are Council initiated and others are from the Department of Planning, Infrastructure and Environment. I have also listed the Planning Proposal Portal page dealing with the Sims Road PP refusal.
Council links:
On the Kiama Council website, under the “Your Say” tab there are links to a number of opportunities for the community to either comment or be notified about the process to be undertaken. Either go to the Council website "Your Say" page or click the items below to go to the specific pages.
Department of Planning, Infrastructure and Environment:
(1) Your chance to comment on the State Significant Agricultural Land map. This maps the agricultural land that is seen to be of State significance and likely to be protected for the production of food and fibre. This would be eventually not available for residential or industrial rezoning. It is possible on the map to make comments about the boundaries of the SSAL areas. You can support, oppose or add comments to the map.
The link to the draft map is at: https://nswdpi.mysocialpinpoint.com/ssal/map#/sidebar/tab/how_to_use_the_map
The background information can be found here: https://nswdpi.mysocialpinpoint.com/ssal
The methodology for the mapping can be downloaded here.
(2) The latest Planning update from DPIE can be seen here.
This update includes many matters which could be quite significant for the new Council and current projects that are underway. You will find the links in the document.
