About the Kiama Area Precincts Alliance (KAPA)

The Kiama Area Precincts Alliance is the revised version of what was called CCAG, formed a number of years ago to provide a common voice for the Precincts and Ratepayers Organisations when communicating with Council.

KAPA makes representations to Council on matters that have a whole of LGA interest.

Each Precinct and Ratepayers Organisation provides three representatives to KAPA. KAPA holds meetings roughly on a monthly basis.

KAPA has regular meetings with the Council CEO and the Mayor, highlighting matters of interest and concern.

There is a responsibility on the part of the representatives to report back to their Precinct and Ratepayers Group the decisions made by KAPA and Precincts and Ratepayers groups can raise matters with KAPA for discussion at their meetings.

The terms of reference for KAPA are  being revised in line with the new Precinct Guidelines

The minutes of KAPA meetings are public documents and will be available as soon as the new KAPA website is set up.
